A thread over at Andrew Leigh’s blog on ethnic diversity has a slagging match with me talking prehistory with a bunch of economists.
How depressing. It takes more patience than I have to argue in detail with people who are too ignorant to know their own ignorance, and too “smart” to be willing to learn.
The thing I find quite ironic is my original comment in that thread was on the incorrect claim someone had made about Aboriginal people living 30 years longer, and about the misleading nature of “averages” where the distribution is bimodal, as it is in the case of hunter-gatherer mortality.
