Happy New Year

Morning all, and Happy New Year, or as Jaŋari says, wishing you “an inebriating anniversary of an arbitrarily selected point of the Earth’s rotation around the nearest star.”

I got a nice Christmas present from my Dean. A semester-long teaching release fellowship and research account bonus. I’m due for junior research leave too, if I’m reappointed. So, as long as my reappointment goes through, next year I’ll have an entire year without teaching duties. “Things” in this case include the Bardi reference grammar and Yolŋu reconstruction in particular.
